Xpert-Timer BASIC is a software application designed specifically for helping you time the track spent on different projects, create to-do lists, and check out the project history. The tool is available only for single users and comes with support for reports which can be added to your invoices.

The GUI looks overwhelming at a first glance but this is only because the utility comes packed with tons of configuration settings for defining projects and subprojects.

In addition to the main window, the program places a minimalist panel, so-called Timebar, which can be moved anywhere on the desktop, in order to control key aspects of the project quickly.

A help manual is included in the package in case you need additional details about the tool’s timing features.

The utility gives you the possibility to configure a new user by providing information about the username, first and last names, billing unit, price per unit, and working hours.

You can define a new project by entering general details about the description, type (e.g. Administration, Consulting, Delivery, Design, Test, Travel Time), timestamps for main projects or subprojects, and status (e.g. Canceled, Paused, Inactive).

What’s more, you are allowed to set up billing parameters, create subprojects with custom settings, assign tasks to the current project, add timestamps, generate activity reports, enable email notifications, as well as check out charts.

Xpert-Timer BASIC gives you the possibility to view an activity report of your projects, print data, create PDF or RTF files, and send emails with the attached report.

What’s more, you can get an overview of your project times with the reporting module and filter the information by day, week, month, year or certain date range, as well as print sample reports based on project activity and working hours, project list with username, cost and comment, and monthly reports.

Xpert-Timer BASIC can be used by freelancers or other persons that are interested in tracking how much time they spend on projects. In case you are looking for advanced features, such as document management, invoice module and client options, you can have a look at Xpert-Timer Pro.
