Face Crop Jet is an interesting application designed to detect a face in an image and automatically crop it into a new photo that can be used as a profile picture or ID card.

After a quick installation, you come face to face with a rugged and outdated, yet intuitive interface. In the upper section, you can add a single image or multiple pictures from a folder, whereas in the lower region you can specify the output directory, format and size.

In terms of format, you can limited options, meaning that you have only a few options at your disposal (GIF, TIFF, BMP, PNG or JPEG). You can opt for an automatic sizing of the new photos or you can specify the width and height you need for the pictures by accessing the Output Size option.

The application does the cropping automatically and end-result consists of the individual photos featuring the faces it detected in the pictures. It would have been nice if you could have a few image editing tools to further processes the original and output photos.

It is necessary to mention that the application can batch process entire albums of photos relatively fast. While it is true that the duration may vary depending on the size of the image and number of faces, the entire process usually takes under one minute.

The feature can come in handy in a plethora of situations, such as when you require creating new badges for your company or when you are taking your class out for a school trip and want to make sure the students are safe, for example.

Face Crop Jet is an easy to use and efficient application that can help you obtain hundreds of  ID-card pictures you can use on a variety of projects and circumstances.
