If you have ever found yourself thinking about a song you used to play on repeat but cannot remember its title, artist, or album, and the only details left in your mind are its beat and some lyrics, then it might be a good moment to consider an overhaul of your music collection.
Jaikoz Audio Tagger is one particularly useful tool for both enthusiasts and professionals who need to easily categorize their audio albums for a better look and feel of each individual track and a more easily findable song library with advanced searching parameters.
The app boots up to a three-horizontal-layered UI, with the top bar allowing for saving the changes made to songs and quickly searching for a match in the Discogs, Musicbrainz and AcoustID databases. Underneath, the program organizes the songs selected for editing by genre, artist and album.
The second tab lists the main details of the audio files, from their location on the disk, filename, artist, album and genre to the year it was released in. The final layer allows for directly editing the metadata of each song, and the exhaustive variety of details to change culminates in a useful Console tab where all the changes done can be easily viewed.
The third section conveniently displays all details at a glance in its Summary tab, followed by the main info submenu, where the user can edit the title, artist, album, language, genre and year of the selected track. The Sorting tab provides more precise parameters for cataloging songs, while the app displays any correlations with websites such as Discogs and Wikipedia.
The track can then be tagged as Classical, where input fields such as the composer, conductor, ensemble, choir and orchestra can be accessed. For a greater findability, the “Mood” of the app can be set, while also selecting the percentage of various characteristics ranging from the tonality, timbre and instrumental aspects to how happy, relaxed or aggressive the music feels to the ear.
Custom tags are also available for adding, and the app provides tempo, occasion and quality input fields as well. Moreover, lyrics and artwork can also be associated to a track, while the program tracks each change in a useful log near the end of the section.
Jaikoz Audio Tagger provides a great package for managing your audio collection, giving you access to precise searching parameters while also making your tracks look neater in any music player.
