ApexSQL Analyze

Relational database models use dependencies to connect sets of attributes that are in a specific relation inside the database.  Specifically designed to work with SQL Server, Azure SQL, or Amazon RDS databases, ApexSQL Analyze displays such constraints in an intelligible form, generating compelling visual representations of all the referencing attributes.

One of the pluses of the application is that it is very easy to use. In fact, you just have to enter the necessary details to initiate a new database connection, namely the server's address and the authentication credentials, then select the target database, and that's it.

ApexSQL Analyze proceeds to parse the entire database schema to detect all the components and automatically generates a graph containing attributes and the dependencies between them. The dependency diagram that ApexSQL Analyze generates automatically can be exported as an image and used in reports.

The integrated object browser enables you to check the database components you want ApexSQL Analyze to display, including common ones (functions, procedures, triggers, attributes, views, etc.) and others (application roles, class members, certificates, and so on).

The right side panel is probably what will interest you more. ApexSQL Analyze displays all the dependencies it identifies in the database in tree view, revealing referencing attributes, foreign keys, schemas and certificates for each attribute. Moreover, it also shows the referenced attibutes, also in tree view, for easier navigation.

ApexSQL Analyze is a handy software utility for database administrators who need to monitor the dependencies between relations. It displays both referencing and referenced attributes, creating a comprehensive overview of the database schema and the foreign keys as designed by the database projecting team.
