Core FTP Lite

FTP or File Transfer Protocol is something we use quite often now that the internet has become a huge thing and speeds have really increased over these past years. I, for one, have started using FTP over wired transfer to other devices in my house like consoles or even other computers. Core FTP Lite is one particular choice you might just warm up to.

In short, not much. In my case, when looking for such programs, I want to keep things as simple as possible. In other words, the apps need to offer the basic function they were designed for without lots of bells and whistles. The simpler, the better, I always say. Still, this program features some useful functions too.

Its interface is split into two, one side showing your current location and the other your destination for whatever it is that might need moving. Even so, I found it particularly easy to transfer files as long as I had an IP address or some sort of location pointer I could feed the app with.

Don't go expecting who knows what speeds. For smaller files, generally, the transfer time can be somewhat compared to wired transfer, although still noticeably slower. For bigger files, you'll definitely need some patience.

Still, for my PSVita needs, this type of software is great, especially since navigating the intricate inner files of the console is way more complex, and doing an FTP transfer of files via its IP address is easier and more comfortable for me at least.

Core FTP Lite is one way to look at things if you want to transfer files without wires from one terminal to the other. I know I did, and I feel I made the right choice when trying this application. Yes, there's a whole market for these things, but in the end, if it manages to adapt to your needs, why look for more?
