Chrome Hybrid

Despite the variety of choices available when it comes to browsers, it is fairly rare for a single program to include all of the features and functions you are looking for. As such, you often end up working with different browsers for different tasks, and it can become quite a hassle to navigate through them or even find the right one.

Chrome Hybrid aims to offer you an alternative to this situation, by providing you with a launcher capable of running Google Chrome in different user profile modes, depending on your precise needs at one point or another.

The application offers you a portable version of the popular web browser, allowing you to work with it your computer, as well as other PCs, at work or at school, for instance, yet preserving all your preferences.

Chrome Hybrid can be run from a removable storage device, such as a Flash drive, so you do not even have to go through the trouble of installing it, thus wasting no time before you can start browsing.

The program preserves much of the features of the original browser, but offers you a launcher to help you pick a mode, with four options to choose between: Classic, Home, Hybrid and Safe. The first one is meant to function as a lighter version of Google Chrome, whereas Home features an extension, AdBlock Plus, which disabled advertisements.

In Hybrid mode, it is supposed to simplify and speed up the browsing experience, while the Safe profile will simply run Google Chrome in Incognito, preserving none of your history once a session is closed.

Chrome Hybrid may feature changes under the hood, but at a glance, it is not easy to say which are the differences between the original and the launcher, aside from the evident ad blocking extension and its portability. However, these may be enough for someone who does not wish to waste too much time customizing their browser of choice.
