Microsoft announced at its October 6 hardware event that Facebook was building its very own universal app for Windows 10, and the social network is now hard at work to release its client for users of Redmond’s new operating system.

Already available in beta stage, the Facebook app for Windows 10 has received a fresh update today on mobile devices, but the company hasn’t yet released a change log to let us know what exactly is new this time.

Most likely, given the fact that it’s still in beta, Facebook has specifically focused on fixing bugs and improving performance, so this new version includes patches that are supposed to address some of the issues reported by users testing the previous build.

Facebook for Windows 10 will be offered as a universal app, so it’ll work on both PCs and smartphones, with the same features and look that can be automatically adjusted depending on screen size. What’s more, previous updates also brought support for Continuum, Microsoft’s flagship feature that allows a regular phone to become a fully featured PC when connected to an external monitor.

Furthermore, the app received contact sync and People app integration improvements before, so this new version could continue the patch frenzy Facebook started in November.

All in all, every single update is clearly welcome on Windows 10, so go download Facebook Beta to take it for a spin on your own device.
