New version released this morning to address security issues

Adobe has just released Flash Player version 20.0.0.306, but for the moment, the company hasn’t provided any information on what exactly is new in this update.

And yet, it’s not that hard to speculate on the improvements that might be part of this release, as February 9 marks Patch Tuesday, the second Tuesday of the month when Microsoft, Adobe, and Oracle roll out security fixes for their software in an attempt to address the most recent vulnerabilities.

As a result, expect this Flash Player update to repair recently reported security flaws, but more information should be provided in a few hours by Adobe itself (the company has only posted the new version on its servers, but no knowledge base article is available for the time being).

As usual, users of Microsoft Internet Explorer or Edge browser will get the new Adobe Flash Player version via Windows Update later today, when the software giant pushes the green button for its very own Patch Tuesday rollout. Google will also release a Chrome version containing the new Flash Player update to keep users protected.

In the end, it’s very clear that updating the app is a must, given the fact that it’s often the most exploited piece of software on Windows, so go ahead and download Adobe Flash Player to stay protected too.
