Microsoft has also revamped the Maps app in Windows 10 build 9926, so in case you wanted a powerful solution in this regard, look no further than your Start menu.

The new Maps app is mostly a combination of the original solution that was available in Windows 8.1, but with features inspired by those in Here Maps and Bing 3D Maps, so the experience you can get when using it has been greatly improved.

Probably the top addition to this new version of the app is the possibility of downloading maps and accessing them offline, so you won't need an Internet connection to view a specific location on the map or get directions to a new destination.

This particular feature has been around for a while in Here Maps, but it's now available in Windows 10 and will be offered to those on desktops, tablets, and smartphones running the new OS.

At the same time, the Maps app also features a new 3D view, plus a revamped interface that makes everything a bit easier to use and look more modern no matter the device you're using.

Obviously, the Maps app is part of Windows 10, and although this is currently an early version of the operating system, there's no doubt that it'll be included in the final build as well. Additionally, expect new features to be added to Maps in the next few months too.
