Developer creates version of what could have been Windows 93

All eyes are these days on Windows 10 and it’s easy to see why, especially because Windows 8 more or less failed to impress and many people decided to stick to Windows 7.

But those who’re old enough to remember Windows 95 might actually want to try something that could remind them of those times when Start was just Start, windows were simple windows, and Solitaire was pretty much the best game around.

Enter Windows 93.

A Java-based operating system that’s more or less functional, called Windows 93, can now be loaded in any modern browser out there, proving to be the best time waster around. It has Solitaire, Recycle Bin, a desktop, and even Zkype, which must be some sort of ancient version of Skype.

Unfortunately, it does not have Internet Explorer, but it features Cat Explorer, and instead of Clippy, you get Virtual Girl, which we’re pretty sure that many of you would launch in the first two minutes after trying out Windows 93 for the first time.

Before letting you discover this really awesome operating system, here’s a fair warning: there are tons of Easter eggs all over the place, so make sure you check twice before clicking anything. And by the way, do not launch hydra.exe. Consider yourself warned.
