Microsoft has only recently presented the new Surface 3 tablet, but the company is now giving the final touches to another model that could be presented at the upcoming BUILD 2015 developer conference later this month.

A report coming from Digitimes and citing the very same “sources from the upstream supply chain,” as always, reveals that the Surface Pro 4 will only be presented at BUILD this month, while production will start in June.

The device is expected to go on sale together with Windows 10 later this year, when the new operating system becomes available, the same report adds. Windows 10 is projected to be unveiled in the second half of 2015, with some voices from within the company claiming that RTM is scheduled for June and general availability for August.

Technical specifications of the Surface Pro 4 are not yet available, but the device is very likely to come with next-gen hardware and a large screen that measures at least 12 inches. A digital pen to make drawing and writing easier is also expect, and so is a kickstand to help the device play the role of both a tablet and a laptop.

Previously, it was believed that the Surface Pro 4 would be unveiled in October, so keep in mind that this is just pure speculation and nobody can guarantee that today's report is accurate.

BUILD 2015 kicks off on April 29, so we're only a few weeks away from what could be the unveiling of Microsoft's top tablet.
