Deutsche Telekom is the latest big company that joins forces with Microsoft, this time with customers in Europe to be the ones benefiting from the partnership.

According to the terms of the deal, Deutsche Telekom and Microsoft will work together to bring devices and services in a number of European countries, including the following 12: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.

Basically, with this new partnership, Microsoft is making sure that its products become available to a wider array of customers, as market availability has been fairly limited on the Old Continent until now. Only large countries were provided with Surface tablets and Windows Phones, but with this new agreement, Microsoft is aiming at better coverage.

Specifically, Deutsche Telekom will provide access to Microsoft Lumia smartphones and online services such as Office 365 and OneDrive, with the partnership likely to be expanded to new products, such as Surface tablets, at a later date.

The first device that will become available via Deutsche Telekom is the newly introduced Lumia 640, which was presented by Microsoft at MWC 2015 in Barcelona a couple of days ago. Right now, there's no word on when this device will go on sale in the aforementioned markets, but worldwide availability is scheduled for April this year.

We've reached out to Microsoft for more information about this partnership and new products that could be included in the coming months and will update the article accordingly when we get an answer.
