You can now use the service right on your mobile phone

Microsoft’s How-Old.net service that allows users to determine the age of people showing up in photos posted online is now available for Windows Phone devices thanks to a dedicated app created by the Redmond-based software giant itself.

Available in the Windows Phone store free of charge, the app allows you to use photos stored on your phone or even take a shot with the phone’s camera and try to determine the age of the people included in it.

Right now, there’s no option to search the web for more photos, as the web-based service allows you to, but you can share the result of each process via email.

And for those wondering whether their photos will be stored online or somewhere else, no, that’s not going to happen, and Microsoft even displays a little notification at the bottom of the main screen to let you know that everything is performed anonymously and no picture is collected during the process.

As a reminder, this little service was designed by a team of Microsoft engineers to be used by company employees and they initially expected only 50 people or so to give it a try.

How-Old.net, however, became an Internet sensation shortly after going online, and millions of people from all over the web uploaded their photos to see if the service is really accurate in determining their age or not.
