Microsoft Edge is the new default browser in Windows 10, and just like any other product developed by the Redmond-based software giant, it was presented with much fanfare at the BUILD 2015 developer conference.

And now, since BUILD is almost over, the company released the first video to introduce Edge to the world before the app becomes available for anyone to try it as part of the Windows 10 Technical Preview.

The very same video that you can find below was presented by Microsoft in the opening keynote at BUILD and shows the main capabilities of the browser in action, including personal assistant Cortana and annotating features.

Needless to say, Microsoft Edge is Redmond’s big bet in the fight against Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, as Internet Explorer has always been considered a browser that failed to meet expectations.

Many described Internet Explorer as the best browser to download another browser, while others said that it was the easiest way to get your computer infected when browsing the web, so with Edge, Microsoft is also trying to fight the negative perception that seriously affected its browser adoption in the last few years.

Edge will be part of the next Windows 10 Technical Preview and will be released together with the RTM version of the operating system in summer.
