The official Mega app for Windows Phone has finally arrived in the store and can now be freely downloaded on any device running Microsoft's mobile OS.

Previously available as part of a private beta, Mega for Windows Phone promises to offer the same high level of privacy and encryption that made it famous, as the company behind the service says that no government agency would be allowed to access your files.

You are provided with 50 GB of storage space from the get-go, and just like with any other cloud-based storage service out there, you can manage and organize your files and sync them on all your devices easily.

Mega is already available on the majority of platforms and can obviously be accessed from the desktop as well using any modern browser with HTML5 enabled.

As far as the Windows Phone app is concerned, it does seem to look good and work fast, with no strong impact on battery life. Speed is what seems to excel on Windows Phone, as files are uploaded impressively fast to your account, but this also depends on your Internet connection.

Of course, the app is available free of charge and the 50 GB of storage space are offered once you create a new account, so go ahead and download Mega for Windows Phone to try it out for yourselves.
