Microsoft is working to add new icons in Windows 10

It’s a well-known fact that some of the icons that Microsoft introduced in the Windows 10 Technical Preview build 9926 aren’t really as eye-candy as many expected them to be in a significantly revamped version of Windows 10, but it turns out that the company is trying to take care of that right now.

Windows 10 build 10056 comes with a new Recycle Bin icon, which could be living proof that a new icon pack is on its way and Microsoft is now testing the waters with just one item.

Fortunately, thanks to DeviantArt user GTAGAME, the new icon pack is now available for download, including the new Recycle Bin, so if you want to make your operating system look more like Windows 10 build 10056, this is the easiest way to do it.

Of course, it’s worth mentioning that, besides the new Recycle Bin, icons are exactly the same as in the previous builds, so you get the same folder and file design as in build 10049 and 10051.

If you want to change Windows icons with new ones you’ve downloaded from the web, simply click the desktop, hit “Personalize,” and on the left side of the screen click on “Change desktop icons.”

In this menu, pick the one you wish to change, click it, and hit the “Change Icon” button. Browse to the path where you saved the downloaded icons and select the new one you want to use, and you’re good to go.
