Microsoft launched #MakeItHappen in several countries

As part of its efforts to promote Windows Phone and Lumia models across the world, Microsoft launched several contests with prizes depending on the country you live in, so if you agree to share your New Year's resolution, you can win anything from phones to cars.

That's right, as part of the so-called #MakeItHappen campaign, Microsoft was offering really impressive prizes, so while Americans could win 10 Lumia 830 smartphones and Fitbits, Nigerians could even get their hands on a car.

And as Pulse reports today, the 12 Ford Figos that were part of the contest have already been claimed and the campaign proved to be really successful.

Ford Figo is a rebranded version of the European and American Ford Fiesta, which is available in several other markets in the small car sector. Pricing for the Figo starts at around $10,000 (€7,300) in South Africa but can vary by market and dealer.

Needless to say, this is one great campaign, but unfortunately, it only takes place in few markets, so those who buy a Lumia and want to win a prize have no other option than to stick to less overwhelming rewards, such as phones and fitness bands.
