More features have landed for the Linux platform

Sid Meier's Civilization V, the most successful game in the franchise released Firaxis Games and ported on Linux by Aspyr Media, just received support for the Steam Workshop.

The Steam Workshop is an important resource for games such as Sid Meier's Civilization V, which can be heavily modded. There are thousands of mods for CIV V, and many of those mods are almost as big as the game itself. Many of them bring new content, not just changes to the original gameplay.

We also have to keep in mind that Sid Meier's Civilization V has been out on Steam since 2010, but it never leaves the list of top games played every day on Steam. Even if the Linux support landed just a year ago, the community already loves it. Now, Linux players have access to the same resources as everyone else, and we all know what you're going to play next.

A Mod of Ice and Fire is one of the most downloaded mods for the game, but it requires the Gods and Kings Expansion, which shouldn't be a problem. Sid Meier's Civilization V has been discounted numerous times, so it's very likely that a big part of the Linux community already has the DLC.
