After informing the community about the dates for the upcoming openSUSE Conference 2016 event, the openSUSE devs are now looking for a host city for this year's openSUSE.Asia Summit 2016 conference.

As you might have guessed already, the OpenSuSE.Asia Summit event is held in an Asian city, and previous conferences were held in Beijing, China (openSUSE.Asia Summit 2014) and Taipei, Taiwan (openSUSE.Asia Summit 2015).

The openSUSE.Asia Summit conference's main focus is on the openSUSE Linux operating system and its open-source technologies targeted at both personal and enterprise use.

It is, of course, the main event for the Asian openSUSE community, where foundation leaders, developers, users, businesses, and governments alike can attend if they want to discuss the present and future of the project.

Over 400 contributors and enthusiasts from all over Asia have attended the openSUSE.Asia Summit event in the past, so the team is now looking for another great city to host the next one, openSUSE.Asia Summit 2016.

"The openSUSE.Asia organization committee is inviting proposals to host the openSUSE.Asia Summit during the later half of 2016 (July to the middle of October)," said Manu Gupta in a recent blog post.

Therefore, those interested in hosting the openSUSE.Asia Summit 2016 event are invited to submit a formal proposal to the openSUSE.Asia organization committee. Be aware that the deadline for the submission of the proposals is April 30, 2016. All the details can be found by clicking the link above!
