14 DAY TRIAL // Feral Interactive has revealed that the Medieval II: Total War Collection will be landing on Steam for Linux and Mac OS X in a few days.
From the looks of it, most of the games from The Creative Assembly are being made available for the Linux platform. The developers from Feral Interactive are doing the porting, and they will probably continue with other items from that catalog.
“In this classic Total War game of real-time battles and turn-based strategy, you create your empire by ranging across a continental campaign, building cities and opening trade routes, mastering the art of diplomacy, and – oh, of course – leading your armies into history-defining clashes,” reads the announcement made by Feral Interactive.
The Medieval II: Total War Collection includes the original game and the second one named Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms. These are games originally released in 2006 and 2007, so it’s well before the appearance of DLCs. What you see is what you get.
It’s also worth noting that both titles have been very well received by the community, and they are among the few marked with “Overwhelmingly Positive,” which doesn’t happen all that often.
The Medieval II: Total War Collection will be released on Steam for Linux and Mac OS X on January 14, and it’s also likely that they will be accompanied by some sort of a discount.
