We reported last week on the release and immediate availability for download of the Manjaro Linux Fluxbox 15.10 Community Edition computer operating system based on the Manjaro Linux 15.09 and Arch Linux OSes.

On October 15, the maintainer of the distribution published some details regarding an update to the Fluxbox menu of the Fluxbox window manager, which received several user-visible and under-the-hood tweaks, as well as some performance improvements.

According to the developers, it appears that the right-click menu was greatly improved and the "Regenerate" function of the Fluxbox menu is now capable of writing entries for newly added software into the pre-configured list more smoothly than before.

Moreover, users can now access the alternative menu, called Dmenu-manjaro, using the Super+D keyboard shortcut, and the LXRandR application was added to allow them to configure the screen options and multihead support.

"Driven by the huge resonance to our Community Edition Manjaro-Fluxbox 15.10 we have been working hard to improve, tweak and polish this release during the last days," said Bernhard Landauer, maintainer of Manjaro Linux Fluxbox.

While existing Manjaro Linux Fluxbox 15.10 users can get the updated Fluxbox menu by running the "sudo pacman -S fbmenu-manjaro" command (without quotes) in the Terminal app, new users can download the updated ISO images for 32-bit and 64-bit systems right now from Softpedia.
