It appears that the Linux Mint developers have published the initial Live ISO images of the Beta builds of the upcoming Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon and Linux Mint 17.3 MATE editions.

No, there's no official announcement for the Linux Mint 17.3 Beta (Rosa) Cinnamon and MATE computer operating systems, but they are now available for download from the project's servers.

However, this didn't stop us from downloading them and creating some nice screenshot tours for your viewing pleasure, showing you the beauty of the latest Cinnamon 2.8 and MATE 1.12 open-source desktop environment.

Also, consider this article a head start for downloading the Live CDs of the Linux Mint 17.3 Beta (Rosa) Cinnamon Edition and Linux Mint 17.3 Beta (Rosa) MATE operating systems, ahead of the official announcement, which should be published later today.

The final release of the Linux Mint 17.3 "Rosa" operating system (both Cinnamon and MATE flavors) will be made available for download sometime in December 2015, and it will be based on the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) distribution.

Without further ado, those of you interested in testing the Beta builds of the Linux Mint 17.3 (Rosa) Cinnamon and MATE distributions can do so right now by downloading the Live ISO images from the official servers or via Softpedia.

Please try to keep in mind that these are pre-release versions, which are not recommended for deployment in production environments. Enjoy the screenshot tour of Linux Mint 17.3 Beta (Rosa) with Cinnamon 2.8 below!

We'll also prepare a separate article for the Linux Mint 17.3 Beta (Rosa) operating system with the MATE 1.12 desktop environment, which will include an in-depth screenshot tour.
