The GTK+ project has announced the release and immediate availability for download of the seventh maintenance version of the stable GTK+ 3.16 branch for the GNOME 3.16 desktop environment.

According to the internal changelog, which we've attached at the end of the article for reference, GTK+ 3.16.7 is here to fix exactly seven issues reported by users since the previous maintenance release of the software, as well as to update various language translations.

Among the bugs fixed in GTK+ 3.16.7, we can mention an issue with PrintOperation::paginate that didn't allow it to be emitted for the respective class handler, usage of wrong printer options, and an issue with the mouse cursor, which vanished when characters were added.

Moreover, the documentation of the gtk_entry_completion_insert_action component has been fixed to no longer mislead users, there are now release events for the Shift key when both of them are pressed simultaneously, and it is now possible to calculate the physical size of the screen.

Last but not least, GTK+ applications will no longer be terminated when users attempt to switch from a Multipress input method to None, and the Brazilian Portuguese, Indonesian, German, Polish, Hungarian, Portuguese, Lithuanian, Czech, Polish, and Swedish translations have been updated.

As expected, you can download the GTK+ 3.16.7 sources right now from Softpedia. All users of the GTK+ 3.16.x branch are urged to update to the 3.16.7 release as soon as possible.
