Developers made a choice for their Gauntlet game

Gauntlet is a co-op action title developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published on Steam by Warner Bros. The studio has just announced that it's dropping the SteamOS version in order to focus on Windows version.

Many developers choose to bring their game to Linux, but very few make the opposite journey. Dropping Linux support seems like a weird decision when most of the other studios are trying to stay ahead of the curve and have their games ready for the Steam Machines release.

"Since all our focus has been needed on this free upgrade for PC, regretfully, the SteamOS version of the game has been cancelled. We hoped to have had that version ready by the time Valve had officially launched it later this year, but together with WBIE, it was decided that our limited resources were better dedicated to making the PC version the best it possibly could be" said the devs on Steam.

They were working on an enhanced version, which is called Gauntlet: Slayer Edition and which should land in August. It's also worth mentioning that they are also focusing on the PlayStation 4 version as well. The Linux platform is not worthy enough and all the other studios are probably making a big mistake.
