Neofytos Kolokotronis from the Chakra GNU/Linux operating system, an Arch Linux-inspired distribution, announced just a few minutes ago, March 16, 2016, the availability of some important updates for the Linux OS.

Therefore, we are more than glad to inform our Chakra GNU/Linux readers that the latest KDE Applications 15.12.3 software suite announced the other day has landed in the default software repositories of the operating system, along with the long-term supported KDE Development Platform 4.14.18.

"The third update for KDE's Applications 15.12 series is now available to all Chakra users," says Neofytos Kolokotronis in today's announcement. "This release also includes the long-term support version of kdelibs 4.14.18. [...] It should be safe to answer yes to any replacement question by Pacman."

But that's not all, as Chakra GNU/Linux has also received the latest LibreOffice 5.1.1 office suite, Git 2.7.3 distributed version control system, and Wine 1.9.5 development release for those who want to run Windows apps and games on top of their Chakra OS. The updates are live in the repos, and you should update as soon as possible.

If you don't see the updates on your mirror, you should know that it might take between 12 and 24 hours for them to synchronize with the main server, so check the status on this page. If you want to try Chakra GNU/Linux, we suggest downloading the latest ISO images via our website.
