The BQ Aquaris E5 HD is coming to Russia, according to a number of reports from various Ubuntu insiders. This comes after the phones have been made available both in Europe, United States, and India.

There were some indications that a launch had been prepared for the Russian territories for a few weeks now. Russian scopes have been spotted in the store and some users “casually” mentioned them. In any case, there is little doubt that the information is not correct.

When a phone launches in a new territory, it usually comes with specific scopes and support for that particular language. In this case, support for the Cyrillic alphabet was needed, although we’re pretty sure that it will work in English as well.

The phone to be released in Russia, on November 17, is the BQ Aquaris E5 HD, a device in the middle range that’s actually quite cheap. We don’t know the price, but it won’t be too different from the European versions.

BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition is a dual-sim smartphone that has a MediaTek Quad-Core Cortex A7 CPU running at 1.3 GHz, a 5-inch capacitive IPS HD display that offers a 1280x720 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio and 294 HDPI, 1GB RAM, as well as 16GB eMMC internal storage.

The information has been revealed by Ubuntu insiders, a group of users that are informed about events in the Ubuntu world a little while before they happen.
