14 DAY TRIAL // The development team behind the Audacious open source audio player software has announced the availability of the first maintenance release for the Audacious 3.7 series.
Audacious 3.7 was released at the beginning of November 2015, so it took two months for the development team to publish the first bugfix build, Audacious 3.7.1, which, according to the brief changelog posted on the project's website, fixes nine issues reported by users since Audacious 3.7.
Audacious 3.7 was a massive release that brought support for shuffling playlists by entire albums, an all-new and unified window for managing equalizer presets, the ability to record Internet streams during playback thanks to a brand new record button, better support for high-resolution screens, and much more.
Among the fixes, we can mention that the queue manager now correctly updates the list view, and LyricWiki no longer presents users with an odd edit link. Moreover, the double size feature of the main window has been adapted for all screens and resolutions, and a crash that occurred during parsing of ID3 tags is no longer there.
Moreover, there's now a checkbox that lets users turn off all the effects, as well as the equalizer in Filewriter, the playback of local files is no longer delayed during scanning of HTTP playlist entries, and there's better support for playing certain streams.
Audacious 3.7.1 also resolves a crash that occurred when attempting to display mouse-hover overlay for FLAC audio files, and it will no longer present users with visible artifacts during startups.
