It's a fairly powerful tablet at a really low price

Teclast X80H is a cheap tablet that managed to get the attention of users because it's relatively powerful, well-built, and can run both Android and Windows 8.1. And, from the looks of it, it can also run Ubuntu.

Teclast X80H is actually a dual-boot Chinese tablet that features an Intel Bay Trail-T Z3735F 1.33 - 1.83GHz processor, 2GB or RAM, 32GB eMMC storage space, an 8-inch display (IPS), and only Wi-fi support. As you can see, it's a relatively powerful device, and it comes with Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4, which is not something you usually see.

The tablet has quite a following online, and it seems that more and more users are getting it, especially since it can be bought for just $100 (€89) from some stores. This makes it the ideal device if you want something cheap and ready for testing. A user managed to get Ubuntu installed on one of these babies, and it seems to run just fine.

Small tablets from China can be found everywhere and all the major western companies do most of their work in Asia, so it's not really a surprise that Teclast X80H exists and that it can be bought for a ridiculously low price.

The Ubuntu you see in the image is the desktop flavor and not the mobile one.
