jAlbum, a tool that can be used to create online photo albums and that has built-in support for organizing and editing images, has been upgraded to version 12.4 and is now available for download.

The Linux platform has a ton of tools that can be used to edit and manipulate images and pictures, and most of them are very good. jAlbum falls into that category and it's been available for a long time, so many people got to use it. It's a complete suite and it's hard to imagine that users won't find everything they need.

The big release was the 12.0 version and this new one is actually just for maintenance, although some of the improvements made by the developer are pretty important. For example, the application now uses less memory during the creation of the large albums, the font size for the interface can now be customized, the Facebook uploader has been improved, the Turtle and Minimal skins have been upgraded, and filtering by keywords now works as it should.

A complete backlog of changes and new features can be found in the official announcement. You can download jAlbum 12.4 right now from Softpedia. The application does carry a price, but it's free for non-commercial use.
