The game will probably land in May, but it's not certain

Act of Aggression, a new RTS developed by the famous Eugen Systems studio, will be out in May, 2015, and it's likely that we'll also get a Linux version.

The game is using a game engine called IRISZOOM, which has been used for R.U.S.E. and all of the Wargame titles. This is actually very good news because the Wargame titles have Linux support and they work very well. They've managed to launch some very good ports which have similar performance as their Windows brethren.

"Act of Aggression vows to bring about a return to the 90's Golden Era of real time strategy games, delivering all of the core mechanics sorely missed by many RTS fans: base building, resource management, unit production and dynamic, immersive battles will meet high fidelity production values and intelligent modernization," say the makers of this game.

There is no precise information about a Linux port, but the other games were made available on Steam for Linux long before the interest in the platform was so big. It's not a safe bet, but it's very likely to happen. It might not have a Linux version at launch, but with such a profile game we won't mind if it's a few months late.
