Only four days after announcing the release of Neptune 4.3 Linux operating system for computers, its developer published a new ISO image for the distribution, which has been updated to version 4.3.1, as users reported that they were unable to install the distribution on EXT4 partitions.

While the Live ISO image of Neptune 4.3 has been completely removed from the distribution's download server, users are urged to download the new Neptune 4.3.1 ISO image, which is here to fix an issue with unmountable EXT4 partitions that occurred when running in live mode.

“Due to a problem with the Neptune 4.3 ISO which lead to unmountable ext4 partitions in live mode we decided to upload a new ISO Version 4.3.1 which fixes this issue,” says the Neptune Linux developer in the short announcement. “This issue also caused not being able to install Neptune on a ext4 partition.”

Therefore, you can download the newly released Neptune 4.3.1 Linux operating system right now from Softpedia or directly from the project’s website, where it’s distributed as a single, hybrid ISO image that supports 64 and 32-bit computer platforms. Please note that existing Neptune installations are not affected by this issue.
