Mozilla pushed today the second maintenance release of its stable Firefox 37.0 web browser to Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X users worldwide, available for download right now via the application’s built-in updater.

Mozilla Firefox 37.0.2 is here to fix incorrect rendering of Google Maps in certain conditions, as well as to add stability fixes for various GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) and feature sets.

In addition, a memory corruption that occurred during failed plugin initialization was repaired. Mozilla developer Robert Kaiser discovered a problem with the initialization of a plugin, which could lead to a potentially exploitable use-after-free vulnerability when it failed.

We remind you that the first-point release of Mozilla Firefox 37.0 arrived at the beginning of April. It disabled HTTP/2 AltSvc (Alternative Services) and fixed a start-up crash that occurred because of some graphics hardware and third-party software.

All users of the Mozilla Firefox 37.0/37.0.1 web browsers are urged to update to version 37.0.2 as soon as possible. Do so, access the “About Firefox” dialog and wait for the new version to be downloaded, and the update applied. Restart the browser to finish the update process.

Download Mozilla Firefox 37.0.2 for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from the Mozilla website or via Softpedia, where you will find source and binary packages for both 64-and 32-bit computer architectures.
