The GNOME Project has announced the immediate availability for download and upgrade of the GNOME Control Center component of the acclaimed desktop environment.

Being distributed as part of the GNOME 3.16.2 desktop environment release, GNOME Control Center 3.16.2 is here to fix a couple of minor memory leaks, resolve various issues in some of its sections, and update translations.

Some dialogs are now being prevented from getting too wide in the 'Network' section, printer options are now updated correctly in the 'Printers' section, and the deprecated last-calibration-resolution gsetting is no longer used in the 'Wacom' section.

Last but not least, the 'Notifications' section has received some attention in this second maintenance release of GNOME Control Center 3.16, which means that nameless apps are no longer being displayed, the icons have been aligned, and section headings have been made accessible.

Download the GNOME Control Center 3.16.2 sources right now from Softpedia. As the software is being distributed along with the recently released GNOME 3.16.2 desktop environment, we recommend checking your operating system's repositories for the update.
