After yesterday's announcement for Linux kernel 4.0, Greg Kroah-Hartman has announced today, April 13, the immediate availability for download of the fourth maintenance release of Linux 3.19 kernel, along with new point releases for the LTS (Long Term Support) Linux kernels 3.14 and 3.10.

According to the appended shortlog, Linux kernel 3.19.4 is here to fix several issues with the ARM64 and PowerPC architectures, repair an issue that affected multiple sound drivers, address a couple of networking problems, and update numerous drivers.

"I'm announcing the release of the 3.19.4 kernel. All users of the 3.19 kernel series must upgrade," says Greg Kroah-Hartman in the mailing list announcement. "The updated 3.19.y git tree can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser."

As mentioned, numerous drivers have been updated in Linux kernel 3.19.4, but those who stand out are for WiFi (Wireless Network) and Synaptics. Most important, the middle button on Lenovo 2015 products has been fixed.

Download Linux kernel 3.19.4, 3.10.74 LTS, and 3.14.38 LTS right now via Softpedia or directly from the kernel.org website. For more details on what exactly was changed in these new maintenance releases, we recommend reading their mailing list announcements, here, here, and here.
