14 DAY TRIAL // GNOME Tweak Tool, an open-source graphical software that lets users tweak various hidden settings of the GNOME desktop environment, has been updated recently with support for the upcoming GNOME 3.16 desktop environment, due for release on March 25, 2015.
The Release Candidate version of GNOME Tweak Tool 3.16 is now available for download and testing (see link at the end of the article), and we can report that it introduces a new entry in the Appearance group, allowing users to quickly and easily enable animations.
Moreover, the Tweak and Tweak Group areas now have transparent backgrounds, and a proper gsetting is now used for the “Automatically Raise Windows” function in the GNOME Tweak Tool version.
In GNOME Tweak Tool 3.16, users will now be able to maximize the main window of the software on computers with small screens, such as netbooks. Additionally, other buttons are now taken into account when changing the button layout. More details are available in the raw changelog.
As it usually happens with new updates, various translations have been updated. You can download GNOME Tweak Tool 3.16.0 RC (Release Candidate) right now from Softpedia, but please keep in mind that the application is unstable, therefore not suitable for production machines where stability is a must.
