Only two days after the announcement of Firefox 38.0, Mozilla pushed the first point release of the web browser to users worldwide via the built-in updater.

Mozilla Firefox 38.0.1 is now available for all supported platforms, including GNU/Linux, Windows, and OS X, and repairs a start-up crash with the first generation of Nvidia Optimus graphics cards.

It appears the Firefox users also reported issues when importing cookies from Google's popular Chrome web browser, which could leave them with broken websites. This issue has been fixed as well.

Another issue, which Mozilla reports that has been already fixed in Firefox 38.0, related to incorrect decoding of WebRTC H264 video streams from CiscoSpark native clients, has also landed on the 38.0.1 update.

Last but not least, some issues with playback of large animated images has been patched in Mozilla Firefox 38.0.1, as they could end up stopping other images from loading on the respective web page.

Mozilla Firefox 38.0.1 is now available for download for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems. It is advised that you update your Firefox web browsers as soon as you see the upgrade notification pop-up.
