Zbigniew Konojacki, the developer of the independent 4MLinux computer operating system built from scratch, was proud to announce earlier today, March 22, the immediate availability for download of the final versions of 4MLinux 11.1 Allinone Edition, 4MLinux Core, and 4MLinux distributions.

The biggest new feature of 4MLinux 11.1 is the inclusion of the MakeMKV application, which lets users play and rip all kinds of Blu-ray and DVD-Video discs. For your convenience, the MakeMKV package has been included in the drivers section of the 4MLinux Live CD.

“The status of the 4MLinux 11.1 series has been changed to STABLE,” says Zbigniew Konojacki in today’s short announcement. “The MakeMKV package has been included in the drivers section of the 4MLinux LiveCD.”

The new 4MLinux 11.1 distribution includes FLTK (Fast, Light Toolkit), a cross-platform C++ GUI toolkit, that has been added in order to make the TigerVNC software, as well as other applications that depend on it work properly.

Additionally, the Filezilla and Wine software are now available as downloadable extensions in both the 4MLinux 11.1 Allinone Edition and the basic version of 4MLinux. You can download 4MLinux 11.1 Allinone Edition, 4MLinux Core 11.1, and 4MLinux 11.1 right now from Softpedia.
