We’ve reported the other day that the Fedora Project has announced the immediate availability for download and testing of the Fedora 22 Alpha operating system, which comes in different editions with the GNOME (default), KDE Plasma, Xfce, MATE/Compiz, LXDE, and SoaS (Sugar on a Stick).

This time, we took the KDE Plasma edition for a spin and created a nice screenshot tour for your viewing pleasure (check out the gallery below for details). We can also report that Fedora 22 Alpha KDE Plasma edition comes with KDE Applications 4.14.5, and it is also powered by Linux kernel 4.0 RC1, just like all the other Fedora 22 Alpha editions.

“Together, we can make Fedora rock-solid. We have a culture of coordinating new features and pushing fixes upstream as much as feasible, and your feedback will help improve not only Fedora but Linux and free software on the whole,” was stated in the distribution’s announcement.

You can download Fedora 22 Alpha KDE Plasma Edition right now via Softpedia, where it is currently distributed as 64 and 32-bit Live DVD ISO images. Please note that the distribution is unstable at the moment, thus not suitable for production environments where stability is a must.
