Steven Shiau announced on April 21 the immediate availability for download and testing of Clonezilla Live 2.4.1-11, a small Live CD ISO image that helps users with disk imaging tasks.

Clonezilla Live 2.4.1-11 is now based on the upstream Debian Sid software repositories as of April 20, 2015. It comes with an updated Linux kernel package, as well as some new features and bugfixes.

"The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded," says Steven Shiau in the release notes for Clonezilla Live 2.4.1-11. "This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2015/Apr/20)."

Highlights of the Clonezilla Live 2.4.1-11 development release include Linux kernel 3.16.7-ckt9-2, the addition of the cloudfuse package, as well as support for the OpenStack Swift and AWS S3 resources in the image repositories list.

The Clonezilla Live project is designed for system administrators who want a straightforward, portable, and easy-to-use solution for cloning disk drives on any computer, independent of the operating system installed.

Download Clonezilla Live 2.4.1-11 right now from Softpedia or directly from the project's website. We remind everyone that this is a pre-release version that might contain unresolved issues. Thus, it is not recommended to be used for disk cloning in production environments.
