An Arch Linux based operating system for elite hackers

The BlackArch Linux developers were proud to announce earlier today, March 30, the immediate availability for download of a new updated version of his BlackArch Linux computer operating system designed for penetration testers and security researchers. News ISO images of the BlackArch Linux distribution have also been generated and are available for download today.

The newly released BlackArch Linux 2015.03.29 operating system comes with updated pacman.conf settings, updated blackarch-install-scripts tool (version 0.8), updated /etc/motd and /etc/issue files, a new boot splash screen for both GRUB and Syslinux, various tweaks to the ISO builds, and more than 150 new tools.

“Today we released new BlackArch Linux ISOs," was stated in the release announcement for BlackArch Linux 2015.03.29. "The new ISOs include over 1200 tools for i686 and x86_64 and over 1000 tools for armv6h and armv7h. We wish to thank all of BlackArch's users, mirrors, and supporters. Thanks for your help.”

The new BlackArch Linux release also updates all the pre-installed penetration testing and security research tools to their latest versions, updates the menu entries for the Openbox, Fluxbox, and Awesome window managers, and addresses numerous issues that have been reported by users since the last update of the distribution.
