TheeMahn, the creator of the Ultimate Edition (formerly Ubuntu Ultimate) GNU/Linux operating system, announced a few days ago that testers were needed for the Beta release of the upcoming Ultimate Edition 4.7 release.

At the moment, TheeMahn has just released the second Beta version of the upcoming Ultimate Edition 4.7, which will default to the next-generation KDE Plasma 5 desktop environment.

The final release of Ultimate Edition 4.7 should arrive sometime this summer, and the good news is that it is the first release of the distribution to be based on Canonical's Ubuntu 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) operating system.

"I take no credit, other then TheeMahn’s O/S Builder. building it. Patrick C. Moore (Xxjoker21xX) a beta tester of Ultimate Edition off his own server built this little Gem. Good job Patrick!!! It is not a final release, but a step in the right direction & is a BETA," says TheeMahn.

Those of you who want to test this release can download Ultimate Edition 4.7 Beta 2 right now from Softpedia, where you will find a Live DVD ISO image for 64-bit machines. Please try to keep in mind that this is a pre-release version, and it is not suitable for production environments.
