Canonical's Łukasz Zemczak has sent in his last report for the week of September 14, informing us all about the work done by the Ubuntu Touch developers for the upcoming OTA-7 software update.

Mr. Zemczak’s report reflects on the work done on Friday, September 18, 2015, by the developers of Ubuntu for phones. New features include an updated version of the thumbnailer introduced in the OTA-6 update, as well as improved versions of the Ubuntu System Settings, Indicator Network, and Unity Scopes API components of Canonical's mobile operating system.

"OTA-7 development continues in the meantime, with the feature freeze drawing closer and closer. New minor version of thumbnailer, ubuntu-system-settings, unity-scopes-api, indicator-network and more," says  Łukasz Zemczak. "Still some features to go, next week might be busy because of that."

According to Mr. Zemczak, next week will be very busy for Ubuntu Touch developers, especially because the OTA-7 Feature Freeze will be in effect from the week of September 28, most probably, which means that Ubuntu Touch OTA-7 will receive more new features, updated apps, and various optimizations.

As usual, we will have more news on the OTA-7 software update for Canonical's Ubuntu for Phones mobile OS next week, which will be indeed a busy one because the Ubuntu developers will release the Final Beta build of the anticipated Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) computer operating system.
