The developers are now focused on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Canonical is already preparing for the next Ubuntu Online Summit, which should arrive soon after the launch of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus).

The UbuCon Summit that just ended last week was the first one that gathers developers from all over the community under the same physical roof. The Ubuntu Online Summit does the same thing, but the developers sit at home behind the webcam.

All eyes are now on the upcoming Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus), which will launch on April 21, so having such an important gathering wouldn't work. This kind of online summits usually concentrate on stuff that will land in six-month time, so it will be perfect for Ubuntu 16.10 (Youthful Yak?).

“Hello everybody, the next Ubuntu Online Summit is going to be from 3rd - 5th May 2016, which is going to two weeks after 16.04 release. Summit and related pages will be updated in due time,” Ubuntu developer Daniel Holbach wrote on the official mailing list.

Since this is too far away into the future, it will take a while for the developers to announce the subjects of interest, but I guarantee that main topics will be the Ubuntu convergence and the default implementation of Unity 8 in Ubuntu 16.10.

Also, it seems only fair to point out that I'm calling Youthful Yak right now. Is anyone with me?
