Robert Shingledecker, the creator, maintainer, and lead developer of the Tiny Core project, has had the great pleasure of announcing the release and immediate availability for download of the final build of his Tiny Core Linux 6.4 operating system.

After being in development for approximately one month, with a single RC (Release Candidate) build seeded to testers worldwide on the first day of September 2015, the Tiny Core Linux 6.4 distribution was declared stable by its developers a couple of days ago, on September 8, 2015.

According to the brief release announcement, Tiny Core Linux 6.4 is a very small release that adds a new ASCII penguin in MOTD (Message of the Day), addresses exit code issues in the tce-load component, and updates tce-load's recursive_scan_dep script to print the complete list of dependencies for every application.

"Team Tiny Core is proud to announce the release of Core v6.4," says Robert Shingledecker. "Changelog for 6.4: tce-load: recursive_scan_dep should print full dependencies for every app, from aswjh; motd: new ascii penguin, from nitram; tce-load: correct exit code in some cases, from aswjh."

Tiny Core Linux 6.4 is currently distributed for free in multiple editions, which include Core, Core Plus, and Tiny Core, available for download as Live CD ISO images supporting both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x86_64) hardware architectures. Download Tiny Core Linux 6.4 right now from Softpedia.
