Drawing its inspiration from both Dungeon Keeper and The Settlers, Dwelvers aims to spice up the RTS genre with fun dungeon building mechanics and lots of dark humor, but will it succeed?

Every mission in Dwelvers starts from your very own dungeon, the place where all the bad things come to life in an attempt to wipe out those curious humans that can't mind their own business.

As the dungeon lord you will have to guide your minions to victory against the humans while making sure they have anything they need to keep them happy.

That means you'll have to build bed rooms where your minions can rest or bars to get them drunk, because a drunk minion is a happy minion. In addition to that, you will also have to provide food by building underground farms and cookeries where they can grow the resources needed to bake bread or brew beer.

One of the biggest challenges of Dwelvers is to efficiently create advanced production chains to keep your minions happy. Playing through the tutorial is a must if you want to learn the basic rooms you'll need when starting a sandbox game, but mastering this will prove a bit challenging in the long run.

If you want to end any mission successfully, you'll have to learn quickly what can you do to keep your creatures fed, supplied with weapons and armor, or providing enough beer to keep their morale high.

Resource management is also very important for the economy of the game, since a bad management will leave you without basic resources and thus without the means to further expand your underground lair.

Dwelvers is currently in its early development stages and at the moment it's clear that the game needs a lot more polishing before you can enjoy it at its fullest. Getting past the annoying and repetitive dialogues of the Dark Mother, Dwelvers manages to provide all the ingredients required for a few fun RTS gameplay sessions.
