Microsoft has just offered some fresh details about the different post-launch downloadable content packs that will be released for Rise of the Tomb Raider after its debut in November. These include a horde mode, an Endurance mode, and a special tomb.

Rise of the Tomb Raider promises to continue the adventures of the younger Lara Croft seen in 2013's Tomb Raider. Quite a few details have already been shared about the game's main story campaign, while Crystal Dynamics has teased some different add-ons that will appear as post-launch content.

Now, the Xbox.com listing of the Rise of the Tomb Raider season pass has just been updated with fresh details about those actual DLC packs that will appear after the game's launch next month.

First up, there's a new Endurance mode that seems to offer even tougher challenges for players, but also a brand new tomb called Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch. Finally, there's a Cold Darkness Awakened mode that's basically a horde experience in which players must survive waves of "infected predators."

Season pass owners will also get new outfits, weapons and special Expedition Cards, which add modifiers to the actual gameplay. These include things to make the game tougher, easier, or more customizable, according to AGB.

Expect more details from Crystal Dynamics and Microsoft in the very near future.
