Minecraft: Story Mode, the upcoming joint project from Mojang and Telltale Games, is going to allow players to change the look and gender of the main protagonist. Fans can pick from multiple skin colors and outfits, not to mention between a male or female version of Jesse.

Minecraft has been around for quite a few years now, and one of its main claims to fame is the amount of freedom it gives to players. From creating huge environments to tinkering with the look of their characters, many things are possible.

The upcoming Minecraft: Story Mode adventure experience from Telltale and Mojang is set to feature some of that freedom.

The studios confirm on Telltale's blog that players can pick from different skin colors, outfits, and genders for main protagonist Jesse. The male version is voiced by Patton Oswalt, as previously confirmed, while the female one is brought to life by Catherine Taber. Other voice actors include Ashley Johnson, Brian Posehn, Scott Porter, and many others.

A few new screenshots depicting the various versions of Jesse have also been released and are available for your viewing pleasure in the gallery below.

The first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode is set to debut this fall on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, as well as on iOS and Android mobile devices.
