Konami confirms that Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, its new iteration in the long-running soccer simulator series, won't run at a full 1080p HD resolution on the Xbox One platform. However, it also explains that fans won't be able to tell the difference and invites them to download the demo and see for themselves.

PES 2016 is set to appear next month across many different devices. The Japanese studio already shared all sorts of different details about the game's new mechanics and its refined features, not to mention some different gameplay videos and screenshots.

Now, as we get closer to its debut, Konami's PES European Product Manager, Adam Bhatti, confirms on Twitter a few technical details about PES 2016.

More specifically, it seems that Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 is able to run at a full 1080p (1920x1080) resolution only on the PS4 platform. On the Xbox One, the game is only running at a 1360x1080p resolution.

However, Bhatti quickly adds that players won't be able to tell the difference between the PS4 and Xbox One versions. The main reasoning behind this lowered resolution is that Konami wants to keep the framerate as high as possible as well as the game's overall quality.

PES 2016 launches next month and a free demo is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
