A pretty big leak has just surfaced online thanks to an official Sony website, confirming that Journey for the PS4 is going to launch on July 21 all around the world.

Sony partnered with independent studio Thatgamecompany many years ago to bring some innovative indie experiences to the PS3. The Canadian developer more than delivered on its promises, bringing forth stellar titles like Flow, Flower, or Journey.

The first two titles have already been remastered for the PS4 last year, but Journey has been missing in action for quite some time now, as not much else was shared about the project.

Now, thanks to the PlayStation Docs website, which is supposed to share information about current and upcoming PS4 games, a release date is available for Journey's PS4 version.

The game is listed as arriving on PS4 on July 21.

Besides a regular description of the independent experience, not much else is shared by Sony, but you can bet that a formal announcement is going to appear in the following weeks.

Journey on PS4 is expected to boast a higher native resolution of 1080p, as well as some new visual effects. The same innovative multiplayer experience is expected, although it's unclear if it brings any new elements to the original recipe.
