The 3DS continues to remain at the top of the Japan hardware sales chart, although it has seen a decrease in the number of overall devices that it moved to gamers, from 32,355 to 27,236, which is lower than at the same point in 2014.

The Nintendo handheld has a solid lead to the PlayStation 4 home console from Sony, which has moved into second place with overall sales of 18,171, a solid increase over the previous week.

The Vita has dropped about 9,000 units and is now on the third position on the podium, again down over the same period of last year, according to Media Create numbers quoted by NeoGAF.

The Wii U has managed to move 12,781 units to its own fans, while the PlayStation 3 has delivered 3,102 devices to users, and the Xbox One sold another 235.

Fire Emblem Fates: Black Kingdom / White Kingdom from Nintendo for the 3DS is in first place with 54,896 copies moved to gamers.

Rhythm Heaven: The Best+ is in second place, and the rest of the top ten includes: Splatoon, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition, Mario Kart 8, Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden, Return to PoPoLoCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition and Pokemon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire.
